we exist to bring truth to the world by declaring the gospel of jesus christ. in doing so we hope to reach the lost and broken, grow a spirit led community filled with disciples of christ and serve our city, bringing hope, peace, and love wherever we may go.

meet our pastor
PASTOR JOHN J. OWENS IV, SENIOR PASTOR OF TRUTH TABERNACLE IN PROVIDENCE, IS AN ORDAINED MINISTER WITH THE UNITED PENTECOSTAL CHURCH INTERNATIONAL AND A FORMER MEMBER OF THE UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS. HE IS THE HUSBAND TO KATHY OWENS AND FATHER TO HIS THREE CHILDREN; TIFFANY, JOSEPH, AND CALEB.
SINCE GRADUATING FROM JACKSON COLLEGE OF MINISTRIES, HE HAS FAITHFULLY SERVED IN MINISTRY FOR MORE THAN THREE DECADES IN ROLES INCLUDING REGIONAL CHRISTIAN PRISON MINISTRY CHAPLAIN, EVANGELIST, WNOP PROMO DIRECTOR, DISTRICT BOARD MEMBER AND ASSOCIATE PASTOR BEFORE ASSUMING THE ROLE OF SENIOR PASTOR IN 2003. UNDER HIS LEADERSHIP, TRUTH TABERNACLE TRANSITIONED TO IS CURRENT MULTI-BUILDING CAMPUS IN PROVIDENCE IN 2010. PASTOR OWENS IS PASSIONATE ABOUT APOSTOLIC REVIVAL, DISCIPLESHIP, AND REACHING THE COMMUNITY WITH THE GOSPEL, CARRYING A VISION TO BUILD STRONG FAMILIES, DEVELOP LEADERS, AND SEE LIVES TRANSFORMED THROUGH THE POWER OF JESUS CHRIST.
